The well known caribbean tourist town Sosúa is located the Northcost of the Dominican Republic just a few minutes from the international airport "Gregorio Luperon" (POP). On the left side of the beautiful shaped bay, the main beach, with white coral sand and different shades of turquoise water are the older parts of Sosúa, called "Los Charamicos" and "Sosús abajo", the other side is called "El Batey" with many hotels, bars and restaurants. Not only Dominicans are living In Sosúa - also a big international community has settled down here or at least bought a caribbean vacation home to enjoy the easy-going Dominican livestyle and relax in the shade of a coconut palm tree on on of the countless beaches.
